Personality Yui acts tough on the inside, but it's really just a facade. She sometimes zones, out. She can be harsh and uncaring, and she can lash out at any time, but she is a nice woman. She's kind and generous, and will do anything to get somebody out of trouble. She's pretty fun, too, being a bit rebellious and doing things her own way. She's brave, and a pretty fun girl at parties, but she prefers to be alone.
History She was the daughter of two well-respected people in the city of Ba Sing Se. They weren't politicians, or anything like that. They were cooks at a restaurant. They were just loved. She was loved. She had an older sister, who was loved. They were loved, especially by one another. Her childhood consisted of spending her days in their place, smelling the amazing food, saying hi to anyone who walked in, and after school, everyone coming along to hang out there until their parents arrived. This whole ordeal, her happy child hood, lasted until she was sixteen. That's the day some thugs decided it'd be fun to mess with her. So while she was walking home from the restaurant after closing it for her parents, two boys catcalled her. She ignored them, kept moving on. They thought it'd be funny to stalk her until she was absolutely alone. She knew she could felt them, but she never saw them. She didn't think anything of it. Then they grabbed her right outside her house. They did horrible things to her. Defiled her, all that stuff. She yelled for help, which her parents heard. Unfortunately, that wasn't the best thing for them. The thugs ended up knocking her out to shut her up. While she was asleep, though, they killed her parents with a small rock through their heads, one of them being an earthbender. Thinking she was dead as well, the boys ran off. Yui woke up, groggily, to see her parents dead on their doorstep. She screamed and screamed until somebody came. On that night, her life practically ended. Shame she was still breathing... She was never the same after that. The restaurant closed down. She became more distant, and less happy. In fact, she went through a period of depression not long before she decided enough was enough. She decided she wouldn't let it happen to anyone else. She also decided she need to start clean, so she left Ba Sing Se, and made her way to the Republic City, getting a job there as soon as she was let in.
Powers Earth Citizen Initial Powers Earth Bomb The user can send a small boulder flying in any direction once struck which breaks apart into many smaller projectiles when it hits something. Earth Smash The user is able to crush or even shatter anything made of stone without any force required. Earth Shield The user is able to create a small wall made of stone which can be used to defend or obstruct a path. Earth Levitation (Passive) The user is able to cause earth to levitate allowing them to use any earth they control as a moderate defense or even to allow time to prepare an attack. Compression Control (Passive) The user is able to compress earth into a much denser state allowing them to harden soil or stone for stronger offense or defense. The user must take time to compress the earth. Basic Powers (Note: Once a power is chosen, it cannot be changed.) Fissure The user is able to create small fissures by striking the ground which produce tremors in order to disorient or even knock over others. (Achieved after 1 week) Earth Shelter The user is able to pull together many stones around them in order to form a makeshift shelter as a defense around them or something else. They can also use it to encase an enemy. (Achieved after 2 weeks) Gem Blader (Achieved after 1 month) Initial Powers Earthquake The user is able to strike the ground and create large tremors which can disorient or even topple others in a large area around them. The user is unable to differentiate friend from foe with this power. Earth Tunneling (Passive) The user is able to tunnel through any form of earth in order to travel around and even avoid obstructions. Crystal Blades (Exclusive to Gem Blader) The user is able to refine crystals from the ground and form blades that can be used as a melee or projectile weapon for a short time. While wielding these blades, the user cannot use any other earthbending techniques from their hands. Crystal Cannon (Exclusive to Gem Blader) The user summons a lump of crystal from the ground and slams into it, shattering the crystal and showering the area in front of them with sharp fragments. Advanced Powers (Note: Once a power is chosen, it cannot be changed. Also, Master level powers can only be achieved after 7 months and require 2 open power slots.) Seismic Sense (Passive) The user is able to sense their surroundings by feeling tremors in the ground. This allows the user to 'see' with their earthbending in a large area around them. (Achieved after 2 months) Lavabending (Passive; require 2 open slots) The user is able to bend the earth around them into a molten state, or vice versa. This power has very high offensive and defensive potential but requires the user to be very close in order to use it, which also puts them at risk from the heat and gasses given off. Sustained use of this power will begin to cause these ill effects to after the user. NOTE: This power is illegal to use. (Achieved after 7 months)
