Bender type: Waterbender
She's funny, independent, careless, free, but... careful. She is a girl who knows when enough is enough. She's not a stickler for rules, being willing to break them to any point when it involves her or sakarai, but only she has to. This makes her a bit of a hypocrite actually, since she's always on her younger brother about being safe and following the rules. She's very sweet, can be serious, and is a little scary in an adorable way when she's angry, which isn't often, especially less for her full complete anger, which is when she's crying and yelling. Usually her anger is calm, unless they hit a soft spot.
Merou was a guard for the northern water tribe and got injured on the job. Suki was a water healer, and had to heal the flirty cluts. He was really persistent in courting Suki, and finally she gave in out of annoyance. Surprisingly they hit it off.
Some months later Suki got pregnant, so she and Merou got married. Their first born was a girl and they named her Koko. A year later, they had Sakarai, who was born with an unusual affinity to the spirits. Later, they discovered he was not a bender, though no one in the family saw him as less for it.
Sakarai got a lot of attention because of his lack of ability, their mother always saying he had to be more careful than others, and this cause Koko to hold some resentment towards him. Due to the fact that her mother was more focused on Sakarai, she was a daddy's girl and still is.
One day, while they were chasing a spirit together, Sakarai tripped and fell into the water. Unable to swim, he drowned. She tried to save him, but was only seven and had only just learned she was a bender two years prior.Luckily, the spirit decided to save his life.
From then on, Koko became super protective of her brother. Always watching over him and protecting those who bullied him, even though it caused her to get bullied herself. She is protective to the point where ten years later, she's going to Republic City with him just to watch over him.
