Karasu has raven black hair, pale blue eyes, and pale skin. She is small and thin but carries herself with an unnatural grace and etiquette. She wears simple black clothes in her own home and on the streets as herself, often dresses in popular blue, black, and white clothing while in disguise or needing to blend in with the crowd, and dresses in a very dark blue shinobi shozoku when on a mission requiring being undetected or requiring open combat.
To people who do not know what she is, she acts very cheery, naive, and inquisitive most of the time though this is a rouse. She is in reality very cold, calculating, loyal, and practical. She enjoys literature, poetry, history, culture, and politics in her spare time and actively studies psychology and in particular hypnosis. She attaches no emotion to her work and if captured will commit suicide.
Karasu was born to Tsuki and Suta of the Kage Ryu clan of Shinobi. She was a very bright and talented girl when she began her training at the age of 6 starting with espionage and spying though latter this was escalated to sabotage and kidnapping. Apart from these studies her parents also enrolled her in academic education particularly on fields that they would consider useful like politics and psychology. Karasu was also interested in poetry and literature which she enjoyed in her own sparse free time.
When she became 14 years of age she was introduced to assassination and guerilla warfare and did them with the detachment she performed her duties with, loyal to her clan and to her parents to the letter. She grew in rank and skill from genin, to chunin, and finally to jonin. She is skilled in all aspects of ninjutsu, including but not limited to: Signaling, horsemanship, staff fighting, strategy, geography, espionage, assassination, escaping, disguise, camouflage, how to develop acrobatics (but not how to use them yet), the use of ropes and cords, how to use flash powders and explosives (but not how to make them yet), kursarigama fighting, pressure point fighting, how chi points work (but not how to use them yet), draw cuts, short staff fighting, information gathering, swimming, concealed weapons, archery, naginata fighting, lockpicking, meditation, throwing weapons, spear fighting, unarmed combat, meteorology, and awareness.
Aside from the personal shinobi of the nobles of the Fire Nation the major rival clan there was the Mosho Clan. However, the Kage and the Mosho respected one another though they differed in their views on integrating modern technology into ninjutsu. Eventually the Mosho clan met its end and one of it’s few survivors left to Republic City to found the Ryuketsu Clan, though the Kage Ryu was slightly displeased with this, they were more than willing to allow that clan to control the city while they controlled the Fire Nation. However soon they learned that they had strayed from the ways of the Shinobi becoming little more than cut throats bearing their name. As such the Kage Ryu no longer recognizes their claim to the city, they have sent Karasu, one of their best Shinobi to gather intel and report back to them about the situation. Easily forging an identity Karasu took a boat to Republic City to begin her mission.
The user is adept in basic martial arts, allowing them to stay on par with someone who has focused their training on bending.
The user has trained extensively with the use of classical weapons in order to make up for their deficit when it comes to taking on a bender.
The user has received extensive training in their agility in order to increase their raw physical speed. They would easily exceed any person who relied on their bending.
