OOC Plans: I'm unclear on what's in store for the Kirisamu pairing. It's honestly going to just be, well, complicated for the most part.


His eyes are blue as well as his hair. He normally has his hair pinned up (as shown in his picture). He is 5'7 and weighs 140 pounds.


Isamu acts very aloof around others. He can be somewhat irritable, but that’s merely due to his opposition to social situations. Isamu can be harsh in some situations but sweet to others. He’s quite a bookworm, reading whenever he has time. His fascination with these novels tends to give him a skewed vision of how things work in real life.

Isamu can be very kind and loving, but only to those he cares for. Even to those he cares for, he can come off cold and distant. His actions can be adorably eccentric at times, but he’s trying to be serious. He shows compassion in strange ways, but he tries to be friendly when he should be. Isamu isn’t afraid to thieve, but he doesn’t live off of it. His hopes for the future are ambitious, but he’s strong-willed enough to keep going for them.

Isamu has been told by his father he had a sister. Isamu wishes to meet her, but he doesn’t have much information on her. All he is aware of is the fact that she lives in Republic City and her name, Izanami. He wishes to seek for her, but it can wait. For now, he just wants to settle in.


Isamu was born to a father and mother at the Eastern Air Temple. Soon after birth, Isamu’s father brought him away to the Earth Republic. His father and mother had divorced, each keeping one child. The father was less dedicated to being a monk, so he left without thoughts of continuing said lifestyle. Isamu grew up rather plainly in the Earth Republic. When he was 6, he discovered his ability to airbend. His father was proud because he had so desired his son to follow in his footsteps in bending. Isamu was rather rebellious as he grew older, often not following his father’s instruction. His father became disturbed by this, beginning to abuse him. This hurt Isamu, both emotionally and physically.

By the time Isamu was 14, he was starting get fed up with his dad’s abuse. His father was getting fed up with Isamu’s rebellious traits. Eventually, Isamu’s father kicked him out. Isamu had nothing. No other family he could easily contact, no money, he had nothing. Isamu became a thief in order to barely provide for himself. He was also able to find a few jobs here and there but nothing permanent. Isamu was beginning to get worn out. He needed to secure a better way of life for himself. He wasn’t sure where to look.

On his 16th birthday, Isamu received a letter from his sister. How his sister was able to pinpoint his location, he wasn’t sure. The letter stated that she had recently moved to Republic City in search of a freer environment. She had also mailed a ticket for a ship to Republic City. Under the place where the ticket had been taped, she wrote, “Why don’t you come on over, and pay me a visit? Ma told me you got kicked out by our father. Feel free to take this opportunity.” This was exactly what Isamu needed. This was his golden opportunity to start fresh. The next day, Isamu immediately packed his things and traveled straight towards the sea. He arrived a day later, which was the day his boat arrived as well. Isamu then took the boat away from the Earth Republic and his past.

  • Air Blast

The user sends a burst of air out in the shape of a ball in front of them which can be used offensively or defensively.

  • Air Shield

The user creates a funnel of air in front of them that redirects attacks around them.

  • Air Swipe

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

  • Enhanced Agility (Passive)

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.

  • Gliding (Passive)

The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.

  • Air Bullets

The user rapidly sends a flurry of small air blasts which can be used to pummel something in quick succession. (Achieved after 1 week)

  • Air Strike

The user can attach a burst of wind to any physical attack with their arms or legs for added force. (Achieved after 2 weeks)

Initial Powers
  • Air Wake

The user can build up massive momentum while running which can then be focused into a powerful concussive blast. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power.

  • Enhanced Speed (Passive)

The user is able to redirect air flow around them, removing air resistance and generating a wind current behind them, thus greatly increasing their running speed. (50-60 mph). The user cannot use the power to enhance the speed of their flight/gliding or jumping and they're vulnerable to fatigue and high-speed collision while running at these new speeds.

  • Air Blades (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can focus the air to a fine blade which can be used as a melee or projectile weapon for a short time. While wielding these blades, the user cannot use any other airbending techniques from their hands.

  • Air Slam (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can produce a gust of air to launch enemies upwards, followed by a downwards air current to slam them into the ground with increased force. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power and they cannot use it from long distances.
