Personality

Hanako is a charismatic yet delicate girl. Raised rich, the girl retains all the mannerisms that come with good fortune, but she wishes to live simply. She doesn’t talk much about her family, for she wishes not to be noted for her money. Since she grew up in a very small and homey village, she likes to be close with people in her life. This makes her very sympathetic and friendly upfront.

All this makes the girl incredibly naive and somewhat gullible. She’ll have to learn herself to watch her back and not to trust some. She also is a very curious soul. Hanako likes to learn, which is a trait she’s had since childhood. The girl’s curiosity coupled with her strong liking for a happy community gives her a strive to do the right thing by her morals.

History

Eiji was a wealthy nobleman from the Fire Nation. The firebender paid a visit to the Northern Water Tribes on a business matter. There he met an enchanting and beautiful waterbender named Misaki. The man fell head over heels and insisted on courting her. Eventually Eiji won over the woman’s heart and the two returned to the Fire Nation together. There they married and lived together happily. The two bore a beautiful baby girl, whom they named Hanako.

The three moved to a quiet town in the Fire Nation. Here they lived a happy and ordinary family life. Since the family was so wealthy, they were very well known in their small little home. The daughter was the most well known of the three. While the father and mother were away, the girl would wander the town, charming the townspeople with her adorable looks. By the time she was seven, the girl discovered she taken after her mother in the fact that she could waterbend.

While on her visits to town, the young girl befriended an elderly woman who grew a variety of herbs and flowers. The girl was captivated by the beauty of the flowers and the healing power of the herbs. With her parents’ permission, the girl learned much about horticulture and grew ever so passionate to learn more about it. When she was 10, the girl started her own garden at home.

Years passed, and the girl grew ever more beautiful, as did her garden. The townspeople would often pay visits to the immaculate scenery. At the age of 16, her lovely mentor died of old age. The girl mourned this loss greatly but knew the wise old woman would scold her for weeping over something she cannot control. Thus, the girl went on and helped the people of her hometown by growing herbs and decorating their small village with beautiful flowers.

Her father and mother were immensely proud of her, but the girl felt she needed to tackle something bigger in her life. At the age of 19, she asked her parents if she could go to Republic City to live on her own. The girl had heard many things of the city from her friends, some of which had moved there. Her parents agreed to let her go but insisted on paying for it. The girl declined as she had raised enough money through her gardening to pay off all the costs on her own. With that, she bid her family and the townspeople whom she had come to love a heartfelt goodbye, and she went to the nearest port city to take a ship to Republic City. With her happy and safe old life fading behind her, she looked ahead to the riskier and more rewarding life she may have in the future. She could not wait for the change of scene.
