Basic Information Bender type: Nonbender Title: The Burnt Man Alignment: Hisoka- Lawful Good/Akumu- Chaotic Evil Current age: 19 General Status: Alive and well Sexuality: Heterosexual Relationship Status: Single OOC Plans: I need to make the presence of Hisoka more known, make him more of a mythic character, something almost like a shut-in sort of character, where people know of his room but don't come because they're scared and such. With Akumu, I need to make him more of a Jack the Ripper character, he needs more run ins with the law and needs to make a much more effective presence.
Appearance Hisoka has white messy hair that goes down past his ears. He has a very slender physique which makes him perfect for fast movement though he doesn’t fight much anymore. He dress in a very admiral-like attire with a jacket and dress pants as well as formal black gloves. He tends to also wear a mask over his nose and bottom half of the face, with his mouth revealed. The mask on his face is detailed with gold trimming that is cat-like in its design. The other persona, Akumu, dresses somewhat similarly. Utilizing almost a ringleader like outfit with a red, black, and white color palette. The figure also uses white formal gloves and a top hat. Akumu's main characteristic is his wonderfully creepy mask, using cleaver light tricks from the way the holes are cut, he has made his eyes and smile black and lifeless, nothing an be seen when those holes are peered through. Then again, you won't remember much after being that close to him.
Personality Hisoka has several issues that stem from his disfigurement that he received in the fire. He is very isolated, usually running from people as soon as they speak to him. He also has a terrible case of stuttering, which only furthers his embarrassment. Hisoka is also a heavy sufferer of PTSD and cannot control his crying, having random fits. Lastly he has a split personality that is separate from his own. He doesn’t know this is him and in fact is terrified of this persona, the only thing known about it is that it kills anyone it wants to.
History The night Hisoka was born was the best moment in Yuta and Nanami’s lives, the pinnacle of their happiness. With Yuta being a successful businessman for a security company in Ba Sing Se of the Earth Republic and Nanami being a executive of the same company, they easily made enough money to support this young boy and give him everything he would need. Everything except time. Growing up, Hisoka was always lonely, his parents were always working and he was homeschooled, always surrounded by nannies and teachers. Never being shown actual true love by anyone and not having any interactions with any of his peers. This drove Hisoka somewhat mad, always staring out the window of his building at the other children he always dreamt of playing alongside. As time passed he developed a horrible case of stuttering, so bad he chose not to talk and often was introduced by others as being a “mute.” He also didn’t enjoy having attention brought to him, preferring to be almost like a rat in the shadows. As the years went on, the greatly intelligent Hisako grew further and further from his parents, almost hating them for what they’ve done for him, despite the money they’ve pumped into his education, he didn’t care, all he wanted was love. But, he never received it. After finishing his education, Hisako left his parents immediately. Going to a police academy, Hisako of course graduated the top of his class and immediately was hired as a detective. He quickly rose through the ranks on that job as well, easily proving his worth. Hisoka soon caught the attention of a higher up executive at the Republic City Police Department, transferring over to their branch of justice as soon as possible. He hated Ba Sing Se and wanted to leave immediately. Upon entering the city he was overwhelmed by the amount of cases and criminals that were in the city and was, in fact, delighted. Hisoka soon found himself temporarily in the Arson Desk, becoming a Fire Investigator for the RCPD. Until they could find a more suitable position for him. Hisoka was chasing after a serial arsonist whom was completely unknown to the department as far as their identity goes, but Hisoka was determined to catch him. This of course was until the most infamous moment in Hisoka’s career, the Honshi Fire. It is well known that this fire is thought to have spawned the myth of the burnt man. Hisoka was hot on the trail of the Arsonist, hearing of a fire down at Honshi he immediately went. Appearing on the scene of the crime he saw a few people inside the building screaming. As other officials started to appear on the scene, waterbenders, healers, other police, etc. Hisoka went in. He soon found that he had stupidly over estimated his skills, only able to save a few of the people before having a beam fell onto him. The beam trapped him only for a few seconds but it was enough for his whole upper body to be consumed in flames. Due to the pain he flew into a frenzy, throwing the beam off of himself and running out of the building, he was immediately doused by water, the cool water though only put him into shock and he ran the opposite direction. Disappearing into the darkness, Hisoka knew his career was over, in excruciating pain, he collapsed. Soon awakening, he found himself laying on a medical bed, in some kind of wooden room. A doctor was operating on him, when asked who he was the doctor simply put him back under anesthetic. Hisoka soon awakened in the alley he had collapsed in. Finding himself to be covered in his partially burnt uniform and bandages covering his whole upper torso, he decided to go to the bank. Hisoka’s name was still on his parent's bank account, even though he had run from them, they had always wanted to contribute in some way. He then take out a very large amount of money and decided to buy a room in the Tsun Mei Hotel, of course under an Alias: Yu. Overtime, people had simply assumed that Hisoka had died, considering his body was never found and the condition he was last seen in. Even his parents had no idea what had happened since he had left Ba Sing Se. Though it was suspicious that a bandaged man appeared in the Tsun Mei Hotel they didn’t ask any questions, considering the amount of money that he had, as long as they were paid they were happy. The man also never bothered them and so they never bothered him. Rumors began to spread of a strange man wearing a mask and very formal wear as well, some thinking it may be the officer but others simply ruling out that he wouldn’t have enough money to afford it. As a decent amount of time passed, everything died down, but there does seem to be a new kind of criminal going around on the streets, a very creepy man in a mask and a ringleader outfit.
