Akar does not initially come across as the type of person who would enjoy stealing, murder and all things illegal. he is very sociable and manipulative, often trying to get his opponents to fight each other rather than fight him. He has mastered the art of making everything he does seem effortless and this control of self has made him incredibly arrogant. Akar thinks that he is both the most attractive and most intelligent person in the room at any one point. He often jokes with everyone and he behaves very passively. He avoids conflict and tries to solve his problems through words and deals rather than fists, though once he gets started he is more sadistic and brutal than a serial killer. The people he likes to socialise with are, strangely policemen, he finds pleasure in befriending do-gooders then revealing his inner nature… usually whilst trying to kill them of course. The delight he takes in the suffering of other people borders on the perverse. This desire for pain has driven Akar for most of his life. In his mind his entire reason for being is to cause as much chaos as possible and bringing Republic City to a state of anarchy equal to that of the Kiryi Rebellion seems like the best way to do this…


Akar was born to two Air Nomads who resided in the Northern Air Temple. Akar began bending at the age of 5, he was educated in all the traditional Air Nomad meditation techniques and philosophies. Among the many stories he was told as a child about the greatest Airbenders to have lived, good and very, very occasionally bad, the story of Zaheer was the one he most related with. Zaheer’s mission to bring true freedom to the four nations appealed to the young mind of Akar, it was only later in life he realised that this idea of true freedom was only appealing because of the pain it caused. When Akar was 14 he joined a group of passing Nomads who still held true to the traditions of old. During his travels he helped a great many people and even saved a few lives. This disgusted him, but still he carried on with the compassionate front until the day when the group he was travelling with left him behind in a small firenation town and he ran into a large group of bandits. The bandits decided to use him as a servant of sorts initially, he later proved himself in a raid on a trade caravan and was made a member of the gang in full. He lived with the bandits for a good amount of years. On his 20th birthday Akar received a pair ring from the daughter of the bandit group’s leader, who fancied him quite a bit. He never really wanted to be close to anyone and the full pair would look very fashionable on both hands, so he killed the girl and took the ring. This made him unwelcome among the bandits so he decided to have a fresh start in a new place. It took Akar a full year to make his way to Republic City, often finding a place to his liking, murdering some pretty young thing he had taken advantage of then moving on. Akar acquired his hooded jacket from a regional yakuza boss he killed during the year of travel and as most things yakuza it contains a surprising amount on hidden weapons and concealed pockets.

  • Air Blast

The user sends a burst of air out in the shape of a ball in front of them which can be used offensively or defensively.

  • Air Shield

The user creates a funnel of air in front of them that redirects attacks around them.

  • Air Swipe

The user sends a sharp jet of air out in the shape of a crescent which can be used to cut things.

  • Enhanced Agility (Passive)

The user is naturally more agile than a normal human.

  • Gliding (Passive)

The user can glide across the air for a short period of time; this can be sustained for a medium amount of time by using a glider.

  • Air Bullets

The user rapidly sends a flurry of small air blasts which can be used to pummel something in quick succession. (Achieved after 1 week)

  • Air Funnel

The user can create a funnel of air which is used to redirect objects. (Achieved after 2 weeks)

  • Air Wake

The user can build up massive momentum while running which can then be focused into a powerful concussive blast. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power.

  • Enhanced Speed (Passive)

The user is able to redirect air flow around them, removing air resistance and generating a wind current behind them, thus greatly increasing their running speed. (50-60 mph). The user cannot use the power to enhance the speed of their flight/gliding or jumping and they're vulnerable to fatigue and high-speed collision while running at these new speeds.

  • Air Blades (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can focus the air to a fine blade which can be used as a melee or projectile weapon for a short time. While wielding these blades, the user cannot use any other airbending techniques from their hands.

  • Air Slam (Exclusive to Wind Fighter)

The user can produce a gust of air to launch enemies upwards, followed by a downwards air current to slam them into the ground with increased force. The user becomes disoriented for a short time after using this power and they cannot use it from long distances.

Advanced Powers

(Note: Once a power is chosen, it cannot be changed. Also, Master level powers can only be achieved after 7 months and require 2 open power slots.)

  • Enhanced Jumping (Passive)

The user is able to use gusts of air to jump about three times the height of a normal human (about 8-10 feet). (Achieved after 2 months)

  • Soundbending (Passive; requires 2 open slots)

The user is able to create and control sound waves by manipulating the air. With this power, they are able to create, distort or even remove sound within a large area around them. They are also able to send sonic bursts which can disorient or even cause pain to others; however, over use of these sonic bursts will cause the same effects on the user. NOTE: This power is illegal to use. (Achieved after 7 months)
